1 Hour Beats

The idea is simple: I start a timer and create a song/sketch for an hour, track by track. Once the timer ends, I render the song – as is. The point of this is to tap into the “no filter” part of your creative mind. When a creative mind is given an idea and a boundless limit, it tends to turn to a more critical “in the head” kind of flow. 1 Hour beats is about breaking down that wall and training my creative mind to be more focused on letting my natural impulses flow more freely.

This is a technique I recommend to anybody who is experiencing any kind of writer’s block. In music schools such as Berkley, they teach a similar technique but call it “focus writing”. It could be compared to a sketchbook that you are constantly working in. I like to share it because not everything is perfect, nor should it be. Furthermore, I am always open to collaborating! All you need to do is abide by my 1 hour rule (either fresh or something found here), render and send it my way and I will add another hour to the magic. So, as of December 2014, I will start posting all my stuff on hitrecord! With some of my choice sketches put here. Enjoy![/vc_column_text][nectar_blog layout=”std-blog-sidebar” category=”1hourbeats” enable_pagination=”true” pagination_type=”infinite_scroll” load_in_animation=”none”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
